Attorney General
The Attorney General represents all state departments, agencies and commissions whenever requested to do so by the authorized employees of those bodies. The Attorney General renders legal opinions, either formally or informally, on all questions of law submitted by the General Assembly, the Governor, or any other public official. The Attorney General consults with and advises judges, district attorneys, magistrates and municipal and county attorneys whenever they request such assistance and when permitted under the Rules of Professional Conduct.

North Carolina Bar Association
This is a voluntary organization serving the diverse professional needs of lawyers. The mission of the association is to serve the public and the legal profession by promoting the administration of justice and encouraging the highest standards of integrity, competence, civility and well-being of all members of the profession.
